Welcome to Bristol Ramblers

There are photos of our walks on Facebook. They are organised into albums, one album for each walk.
You can add your photos to existing albums or, if there is not yet an album for the walk, you can create an album.

There are two ways to create Albums:

From a mobile device, open the Photos app Select photos, tap + upper right corner of the screen, Create your Album, title your Album with (preferably) the Walk Name and Date, tap the Tick top left of screen to save. Tap the three dots on the top right of your screen, choose Share, this will take you to a list of possible destinations, tap Facebook icon and post to the Group (not to Friends).

Alternatively on your computer go to Facebook. From your News Feed click Groups in the left menu and select Bristol Ramblers Group. Click: Add Photo/Video at the top of the group choose Create Photo/Video Album. Upload photos andTitle the Album with (preferably) the Walk Name and Date. You can also add descriptions. When you're ready to share click Post.

Any member of the Bristol Ramblers Facebook group can add photos to a group album. Or you can create your own as above. But please do not use the Tagging option: photos that are tagged will be removed.

If you want to add photos but do not want to become a member of Facebook, you can send an initial email to arrange sending your pictures in, - preferably by the end of the second day after the walk (as it is a lot easier to select and upload all the photos at once, rather than try to add them in ones and twos later). Note that for data protection reasons we will not publish pictures focusing on one or two individuals unless they have given permission.
In the subject line of your email, please use the name of the walk as it appears on the programme - for example: Castle Combe - 13 January 2019
If you know how, please try to give each photo a brief descriptive filename such as 'Crossing the River Yeo'.
You can send as many pictures at one time as you like - whatever is convenient for you. If you know how to combine them in a single zip file, you may find that simplest. Otherwise, any size will do as long as your internet connection can manage it
If you use Dropbox (a popular way of sending files that are too big to email) then you can put your zip file of pictures in Dropbox and then email a link.
If you can avoid using photo software which strips out the info about 'Date Taken' that would be great as it means everybody's pictures sort themselves neatly into chronological order.
